Nasty White Sneakers

Day off today. It was a new holiday...stupidly named *Family Day*. I successfully managed to avoid mine most of the day so I guess it was a win.

Read a lot of fic this weekend. Finally braved Architects of Fate from Tarlan (Rodney/John & Jack/Daniel, what more can you ask for in a story). I hadn't seen the movie it was hitching off from and so I have to admit I found it a spooky read but I enjoyed it very much. SSS you'll want to read that for sure. It's an AU of a sort and I love how it ends. I have much hope of a sequel universe springing off from this story.

I also caught up SGA Midway (I don't believe Teal'c couldn't kick Ronan's butt easily) and the last two Torchwood eps. Adam was creepy. Still Loving Ianto this year. Must find good Jack/Ianto fic. Reset, what else is there to say other than MAAARRRTHAAAAA!! To the end of the world baby! :)

I have been listening to a lot of 80s music lately. I am looking for a song and I can't remember the name of it. Quiet a range of music from the 80's, some really craptastic stuff, but some great one hit wonders too.

The song in case anyone knows it... might be the one with "You spin me right round baby right round like a record..." But it might not be? It was from one of those white girl get tricked into going to say...Japan as sold as a stripper. Something Orchid, maybe? I don't want the movie but I want to add that song to my 80's folder.

Downloading music does work... when it's me anyway. I really really liked The National's Fake Empire that data_warrior shared and so today I went out an bought their Boxer CD. I like it. I think I'll go back and buy a couple more of their cds.

I lost the Hairy Tarantula comic store. How did I miss that moving away?

Almost caught up SGA I watched S4x10 tonight and I think they just showed 14. I love Kate Hewlett but I wish they wrote Jeannie better. She is kinda mean. Once again it is proven David Hewlett can make me cry. He puts just the perfect amount of emotion in Rodney. This Mortal Coil was full of teamy goodness.

Death Note News....
I'm on episode 14. Bought a few of the manga because I have no will power. Also bought a Tee shirt. L of course.

No C again although I hear she may be back tomorrow.
